Médano is the easiest answer for a first Los Cabos visit: a generally swimmable bay beach with restaurants, water sports and Cabo San Lucas close by. The western end makes combining sand, the marina and downtown particularly straightforward. Unlike many coastal addresses here, choosing beachfront need not mean choosing isolation. Always follow the day’s flags and swimming instructions.
It is not an empty-beach escape. Beach clubs and water activities bring company and noise, and the farther you stay along the bay, the less convenient downtown becomes on foot. Recent visitors favor Médano for walkability, but steer travelers seeking quieter, town-focused evenings toward San José.
