Axel's take: 7.6/10

Good for exploring Cabo, but nearby nightlife makes room placement important. A straightforward 3-star city hotel near downtown Cabo San Lucas, scored for what it is.

Fairfield Los Cabos is a straightforward 3-star city hotel, not a beachfront resort. We'd pick it for exploring Cabo rather than spending whole days on property. Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, included breakfast and walkable location near restaurants, the marina and Médano Beach. Free parking adds practical value, and recent Expedia guests often describe clean rooms and comfortable beds.

The biggest drawback is sleep: Tripadvisor and Expedia guests report nearby bars playing loud music until around 2 a.m.; request a room away from the main road. Room maintenance also draws mixed feedback. Marriott advertises a completed refresh, but Booking.com still carries an undated room-renovation notice, and a September 2026 Expedia guest reported a mostly closed pool. Confirm construction and outdoor-pool availability before booking. We'd skip it for a quiet, resort-style holiday.

• Best for: Travelers exploring Cabo on foot; Value-minded short stays; Drivers wanting included parking

• Watch out for: Late-night music in road-facing rooms; Uneven room maintenance; Confirm renovation status and pool availability

• Location: Walkable to restaurants, downtown and Médano Beach; not beachfront.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds earn praise, but recent guests also report bathroom and air-conditioning problems.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive on Expedia, though Booking.com's cleanliness rating is more modest.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength across booking sites.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, outdoor pool and gym; Marriott says there is no airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets cost extra, and published pet-fee details conflict—confirm directly.
