Stay around HB and Central when your Zurich visit includes several train journeys. The station has everyday shopping and food even on Sundays, Niederdorf begins across the river, and the Swiss National Museum is immediately behind the tracks. Central also gives you the Polybahn up to the university terrace. Convenience here does not mean being stranded outside the interesting part of town.
