#3 of 8 hotels in Bahnhofstrasse & Lindenhof by Axel's take. Bahnhofstrasse & Lindenhof is #2 of 9 places to stay in Zurich. The best hotels in Bahnhofstrasse & Lindenhof, ranked · Where to stay in Zurich

Axel's take: 8.9/10

A dependable central Zurich choice, with standout service and a courtyard worth lingering in. an independent upscale 4-star in central Zurich, scored for what it is.

Glockenhof is an independent upscale 4-star just off Bahnhofstrasse, and we'd choose it for a comfortable, well-run Zurich city break. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the clean rooms, helpful staff and breakfast; recent reviews reinforce that picture. The location makes shopping, Old Town sightseeing and reaching the main station straightforward on foot. Its garden courtyard adds somewhere pleasant to pause between outings.

The trade-offs are mostly practical rather than serious failings. Some bathrooms have glass walls, so check the layout if privacy matters, and Economy doubles have a narrower bed than the twin-bedded categories. Parking costs extra, while fitness and spa access mean visiting a nearby partner club for a fee. We'd skip it if an on-site wellness setup is essential; otherwise, it's a strong, reassuring base.

  • Best for: couples exploring Zurich on foot; business travelers wanting a central base; families seeking larger room options

  • Watch out for: glass-walled bathrooms in some rooms; paid parking; fitness and spa facilities are off-site and extra

  • Location: Just off Bahnhofstrasse, within walking distance of Old Town sights and the main station.

  • Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms with coffee machines; layouts and bed sizes vary by category.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com ratings and recent Expedia reviews.

  • Service: Guests repeatedly praise helpful reception staff and thoughtful assistance.

  • Amenities: Two restaurants, a seasonal garden courtyard and well-liked breakfast; wellness facilities are off-site.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and partner-club wellness access cost extra; check bathroom layout before booking.
