Amsterdam Noord
IJ waterfront · converted industrial spaces · music venues · neighbourhood markets
7.9/10
Lower typical rates and good hotels make a convincing compromise near Buiksloterweg ferry or Noorderpark metro, not at every Noord address.

Stay near Buiksloterweg for Eye Filmmuseum, A’DAM and Tolhuistuin, with the ferry landing doing much of the practical work. Around Van der Pekstraat, markets and neighbourhood businesses add everyday texture. Noord offers waterfront terraces, cultural venues and a more open, industrial setting than the canal districts across the IJ.
