#6 of 6 hotels in Miramar Beach by Axel's take. Miramar Beach is #4 of 5 places to stay in Destin. The best hotels in Miramar Beach, ranked · Where to stay in Destin

Axel's take: 7.2/10

Useful kitchens and friendly staff, but expect uneven upkeep rather than beach-resort polish. a no-frills extended-stay suite hotel off US 98, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills extended-stay suite hotel off US 98, not a beachfront resort. We'd consider it for a practical, self-catered stay: full kitchens, free laundry and free parking make longer visits easier. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean rooms and helpful staff, while Booking.com's overall feedback is more reserved. Shopping and restaurants are nearby; public beach access is roughly a mile away.

The trade-off is inconsistent upkeep. Despite IHG's renovated label, recent guests still mention worn interiors, and musty smells recur across Expedia and Tripadvisor. Some guests also report intrusive noise from upstairs. Housekeeping is weekly, and there's no included breakfast. It's a reasonable base for travelers who will use the kitchen and drive to the beach; we'd skip it for a polished resort experience or dependable quiet.

  • Best for: longer stays with self-catering; families needing kitchen facilities; travelers with a car

  • Watch out for: not beachfront; recurring musty-smell reports and uneven upkeep; weekly housekeeping; no included breakfast

  • Location: Off US 98 near shopping and restaurants, roughly a mile from public beach access.

  • Rooms: Spacious kitchen-equipped suites; wear and occasional upstairs noise temper the comfort.

  • Cleanliness: Many recent guests praise clean rooms, but musty odors and common-area cleanliness draw complaints.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff are a recurring strength in recent Expedia reviews.

  • Amenities: Seasonal outdoor pool, gym, grills and complimentary guest laundry; no included breakfast.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pet fees apply, and Booking.com lists a refundable damage deposit.
