#2 of 6 hotels in Miramar Beach by Axel's take. Miramar Beach is #4 of 5 places to stay in Destin. The best hotels in Miramar Beach, ranked · Where to stay in Destin

Axel's take: 7.9/10

Generous suites and useful extras make up for rooms overdue for updating. a mid-range, all-suite hotel across the street from Miramar Beach, scored for what it is.

This mid-range, all-suite hotel is a good family beach base if space and included extras matter more than fresh interiors. Two-room suites, free parking, made-to-order breakfast and an evening reception make a practical package. Private beach access is across the street—not directly outside the hotel. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise breakfast, helpful staff and the short beach walk.

The catch is condition: recent reviews repeatedly describe tired upholstery, worn carpets and bathrooms needing attention, with several reports of unreliable air-conditioning. Overall cleanliness ratings remain strong, so this is not a uniformly dirty property, but room upkeep is less consistent than the location and breakfast. We'd choose it for a practical family trip, not a polished resort experience; skip it if dated furnishings or maintenance hassles would spoil your holiday.

  • Best for: families needing separate living space; beachgoers who value included breakfast; travelers arriving by car

  • Watch out for: worn furnishings and uneven maintenance; repeated air-conditioning complaints; beach access requires crossing the street

  • Location: Private beach access across Scenic Gulf Drive; convenient for nearby dining and Silver Sands outlets.

  • Rooms: Spacious two-room suites with refrigerators and microwaves; furnishings and bathrooms show recurring wear.

  • Cleanliness: Strong aggregate cleanliness scores, tempered by repeated complaints about stained upholstery and neglected details.

  • Service: Breakfast staff earn frequent praise; front-desk responsiveness and maintenance follow-through are less consistent.

  • Amenities: Included cooked-to-order breakfast and evening reception, plus an outdoor pool, hot tub, gym and restaurant.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets and beach-chair rentals cost extra, and Hilton requires guests to be 25 to check in.
