#5 of 6 hotels in Miramar Beach by Axel's take. Miramar Beach is #4 of 5 places to stay in Destin. The best hotels in Miramar Beach, ranked · Where to stay in Destin

Axel's take: 7.6/10

Practical beach apartments, but elevator repairs make this a qualified pick. A mid-range timeshare condo resort near Miramar Beach, scored for what it is.

Club Wyndham at Majestic Sun is a mid-range timeshare condo resort, best suited to families wanting apartment space rather than full-service hotel polish. We'd consider it for a self-catering beach break: suites have kitchen facilities and in-unit laundry, and the sand is a short walk across the road. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests generally praise cleanliness, helpful staff and convenient beach access. Pools and a hot tub add family appeal, though some facilities are shared or a walk away.

The biggest drawback now is extensive elevator work, scheduled September 1, 2026–March 31, 2027: Wyndham warns of noise, dust and significantly longer waits with only one elevator available. Pools also face intermittent closures in December 2026. We'd skip it during repairs if easy access or uninterrupted relaxation matters most. Otherwise, confirm the exact suite: standard units lack balconies, and only deluxe suites promise partial Gulf views. Be prepared for timeshare sales invitations.

Best for: Families wanting apartment-style space; Self-catering beach vacations; Longer stays with laundry needs
Watch out for: Elevator repairs through March 31, 2027; Intermittent pool closures in December 2026; Balconies and Gulf views depend on suite type
Location: A short walk across the road to Miramar Beach; a car helps for wider-area exploring.
Rooms: Standard one-bedroom suites have mini kitchens; deluxe suites add full kitchens, balconies and partial Gulf views.
Cleanliness: Generally praised across Tripadvisor and Expedia; stronger evidence than isolated older condition complaints.
Service: Helpful staff receive regular praise, but timeshare sales approaches can intrude.
Amenities: Indoor/outdoor swimming, hot tub and fitness facilities; some amenities are shared or within walking distance.
Fees and surprises: Garage parking fee and credit-card security deposit; February–March 2027 roof work is scheduled to close all balconies.
