Axel's take: 7.9/10

A dependable overnight stop, but check renovation progress before committing. a simple roadside chain hotel off I-71 in Grove City, scored for what it is.

This simple roadside Hampton is a good pick for drivers wanting clean rooms, friendly service and breakfast included rather than a downtown experience. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise those basics, while Booking.com and Expedia both show strong overall ratings. Restaurants and shops nearby, free parking and easy I-71 access make it a practical base south of Columbus.

Renovation is the main catch. September 2026 Expedia guests describe newly refreshed, comfortable rooms alongside unfinished hallways and construction materials; one also reported lukewarm water during boiler work. Ask whether construction is finished and request a renovated room away from remaining work. Hilton lists an indoor pool and fitness center, but confirm availability before building plans around them. We'd skip it for a construction-free getaway or a walkable downtown stay.

• Best for: road-trip overnight stops; budget-conscious travelers with a car; short visits to Grove City

• Watch out for: renovation reported in September 2026; confirm pool and gym availability; not a downtown location

• Location: Off I-71 near restaurants and shops; Hilton puts downtown Columbus nine miles away.

• Rooms: Recent guests praise refreshed rooms and comfortable beds; request a renovated room.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest feedback, though renovation has affected hallways.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are repeatedly praised on Tripadvisor and Expedia.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast, WiFi and parking; Hilton lists an indoor pool and fitness center.

• Fees and surprises: Pets incur a nonrefundable fee; confirm construction status and facility access directly.
