Hotels in ColumbusA no-frills select-service hotel by German Village
7.5/10
A practical German Village base with friendly staff, but rooms need more consistency.
This is a no-frills select-service hotel in the Brewery District, beside German Village rather than in the busiest downtown core. It's a good pick for a short stay when nearby restaurants and straightforward parking matter more than polished interiors. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests both praise helpful staff and comfortable rooms, while recent Expedia reviews are especially positive about cleanliness. Included hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi and a small gym cover the basics.
The main compromise is condition: dated furnishings and worn carpets recur in feedback, and some Tripadvisor guests report musty smells or cleaning misses. That isn't the dominant picture across the larger review totals, but it keeps this from being an easy recommendation. Parking costs extra, and the outdoor pool is seasonal. We'd skip it if fresh interiors and consistently spotless rooms are priorities.
