#6 of 9 hotels in Swatara by Axel's take. Swatara is #4 of 8 places to stay in Harrisburg. The best hotels in Swatara, ranked · Where to stay in Harrisburg

Axel's take: 7.7/10

Good space and useful extras, but housekeeping consistency is the catch. a suburban 3-star extended-stay hotel with apartment-style suites, scored for what it is.

This 3-star extended-stay hotel is a good fit for families who want kitchen space rather than a standard room. Suites have full kitchens and separate living areas, while included hot breakfast and free parking make longer stays easier. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise the friendly staff, spacious rooms and breakfast; Booking.com’s overall feedback is more measured but still positive.

The catch is consistency. Several Tripadvisor reviews from 2025–2026 describe cleaning lapses and bathroom maintenance problems, despite many recent Expedia guests reporting clean, comfortable stays. The hotel also spreads across separate buildings, so breakfast and the indoor pool may mean a walk outside. We’d consider it for a practical, car-based Hershey trip, but skip it if spotless upkeep or a walkable setting tops your list.

Best for: families wanting kitchen-equipped suites; longer stays with a car; Hershey visitors prioritizing space
Watch out for: uneven housekeeping and bathroom upkeep; separate-building layout; car-dependent suburban setting
Location: A suburban Harrisburg base for driving to Hershey attractions, rather than staying in Hershey itself.
Rooms: Spacious, kitchen-equipped suites; Marriott advertises updates, but some guests still report maintenance issues.
Cleanliness: Many recent Expedia guests praise cleanliness, while several Tripadvisor reviews report significant lapses.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength, particularly in recent Expedia reviews.
Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, seasonal outdoor pool, fitness center and guest laundry.
Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets incur a nonrefundable fee with room restrictions, and housekeeping is every other day.
