#2 of 9 hotels in Swatara by Axel's take. Swatara is #4 of 8 places to stay in Harrisburg. The best hotels in Swatara, ranked · Where to stay in Harrisburg

Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong, clean Courtyard for drivers, with friendly service and breakfast extra. a practical 3-star Marriott hotel on Harrisburg’s Eisenhower Boulevard, scored for what it is.

This 3-star Marriott Courtyard is a strong pick for a straightforward Harrisburg stay or a driving base for Hersheypark. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and genuinely helpful staff; newer Tripadvisor reviews also describe spacious, refreshed interiors. It delivers the things that matter at this level without pretending to be a resort. Free on-site parking, an indoor pool and a 24-hour gym round out a useful package.

The main compromises are practical: breakfast at the Bistro costs extra, and recent guests note that the microwave is in the lobby rather than the room. Despite the Hershey name, this is a Harrisburg address, not a park-side hotel. We'd skip it for a car-free Hershey trip or if included breakfast is a priority; otherwise, it's a dependable mid-range choice.

Best for: business travelers with a car; families driving to Hersheypark; comfortable overnight stops
Watch out for: breakfast costs extra; Hersheypark requires a drive; shared lobby microwave
Location: A practical driving base on Eisenhower Boulevard, rather than a walk-to-Hersheypark location.
Rooms: Recent guests praise comfortable, spacious, refreshed rooms; expect a small refrigerator rather than a kitchenette.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Booking.com feedback.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, including for accommodating requests.
Amenities: Indoor pool, 24-hour gym and Bistro serving breakfast and dinner; no airport shuttle.
Fees and surprises: On-site parking is free; breakfast is extra, and Marriott lists housekeeping every other day.
