#2 of 3 hotels in Camp Hill & the West Shore by Axel's take. Camp Hill & the West Shore is #2 of 8 places to stay in Harrisburg. The best hotels in Camp Hill & the West Shore, ranked · Where to stay in Harrisburg

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong budget base with spacious suites and a short drive into Harrisburg. a no-frills 2-star all-suite hotel in Camp Hill, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star all-suite hotel in Camp Hill is a strong pick for travelers who want space and reliable basics rather than resort facilities. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, roomy accommodations and friendly staff; Booking.com’s strong cleanliness and comfort ratings reinforce that picture. Free breakfast and parking make it good value, with nearby restaurants adding convenience.

The compromises are fairly modest: there’s no pool, and you’ll generally want a car for Harrisburg sightseeing. Breakfast earns plenty of praise but also recurring complaints about quality and readiness. Some recent guests mention worn common-area carpets or missed housekeeping, though these are not the dominant experience. We’d skip it for a pool-focused family stay or a walkable downtown break.

Best for: road-trippers wanting roomy accommodations; budget-conscious business travelers; travelers with pets
Watch out for: no swimming pool; breakfast quality can vary; car useful for downtown Harrisburg
Location: Camp Hill location near restaurants, with downtown Harrisburg a short drive away.
Rooms: Spacious suites with sitting areas, microwaves and refrigerators; some guests note wear.
Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, with occasional housekeeping and common-area cleaning lapses.
Service: Friendly, efficient front-desk service is a consistent strength across guest-review sites.
Amenities: Free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking, plus a gym and guest laundry; no pool.
Fees and surprises: Pets incur a nightly fee, with a maximum of two per room; late checkout also costs extra.
