#3 of 5 hotels in Mechanicsburg by Axel's take. Mechanicsburg is #7 of 8 places to stay in Harrisburg. The best hotels in Mechanicsburg, ranked · Where to stay in Harrisburg

Axel's take: 8.7/10

Generous suites and welcoming staff outweigh dated interiors, provided you bring a car. A suburban 3-star extended-stay hotel with kitchen-equipped suites, scored for what it is.

This 3-star extended-stay hotel in Mechanicsburg is a strong pick for families and longer visits who value space over stylish surroundings. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the roomy suites, helpful staff and comfortable beds; Booking.com guests also appreciate the kitchens and cleanliness. Free breakfast and parking make it a practical base for exploring the region.

The recurring compromise is condition: several recent guests describe worn furniture, tired carpets and dated decor, although overall feedback remains strongly positive. The business-park setting suits drivers rather than travelers wanting downtown on their doorstep, and the Hershey name does not mean park-side convenience. The outdoor pool is seasonal; Booking.com lists it closed September 8, 2026–May 22, 2027. We'd skip it for fresh interiors or winter swimming.

Best for: Families needing extra space; Longer stays with self-catering; Regional trips by car
Watch out for: Worn furniture and dated decor; Car-dependent location away from Hersheypark; Outdoor pool closed for the season
Location: Quiet Mechanicsburg business park, roughly seven miles from downtown Harrisburg; not a park-side Hershey hotel.
Rooms: Spacious kitchen-equipped suites and comfortable beds earn praise, but furniture and carpets show wear.
Cleanliness: Generally well reviewed across sites, with occasional complaints about aging upholstery and cleaning details.
Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff are a consistent strength in recent reviews.
Amenities: Free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, fitness center and Wednesday evening social; outdoor pool is seasonal.
Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; pets incur a nonrefundable fee, and the listed pool closure runs through May 22, 2027.
