#6 of 6 hotels in Union Deposit Road by Axel's take. Union Deposit Road is #3 of 8 places to stay in Harrisburg. The best hotels in Union Deposit Road, ranked · Where to stay in Harrisburg

Axel's take: 4.9/10

Convenient highway access cannot outweigh recurring cleanliness and maintenance problems. a no-frills 2-star hotel off I-83 in Harrisburg, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star off I-83 has practical advantages: nearby restaurants, free parking and Wi-Fi, plus rooms with microwaves and refrigerators. Some guests find the beds comfortable and the staff helpful. But we'd look elsewhere, even for a budget overnight: the recent evidence raises concerns about the basics, not just dated decor.

Expedia's 2025–2026 reviews repeatedly report insects, including cockroaches, while recent guests on Expedia and Trip.com describe stained bedding, unpleasant smells, broken locks and plumbing problems. These complaints outweigh the occasional clean-room report. Breakfast is also unreliable: older listings advertise it, but Choice now promises only morning coffee, and some recent guests received neither. We'd skip it for a family Hershey trip or whenever dependable cleanliness matters more than simply finding a cheap bed.

Best for: budget drivers prioritizing highway access; short stays near Harrisburg restaurants
Watch out for: repeated recent insect reports; cleanliness and maintenance failures; unreliable breakfast availability
Location: Convenient to I-83 and nearby dining; Hershey attractions require a drive.
Rooms: Microwaves and refrigerators are useful, but recent guests report broken locks, fixtures and plumbing.
Cleanliness: Recurring insect, stained-bedding and odor complaints undermine confidence in the basics.
Service: Staff receive genuine praise, though problem handling and reservation experiences are inconsistent.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, parking and an elevator are confirmed; do not rely on older gym or breakfast listings.
Fees and surprises: Breakfast is not promised on the current official site; pets are prohibited except service animals.
