Axel's take: 4.4/10

Convenient for drivers, but recurring cleanliness and maintenance problems make this hard to recommend. a basic 2-star roadside hotel on Colonial Boulevard, scored for what it is.

Stay Inn & Suites is a basic 2-star roadside hotel, formerly listed as Super 8, whose free parking and Colonial Boulevard location are its clearest advantages. We'd generally look elsewhere, even for a budget stop. Expedia's overall guest score sits around 5/10, and recent reviews continue to describe poor upkeep and inconsistent cleaning. Some guests report clean rooms, helpful staff and acceptable value, but that praise is far from consistent.

The drawbacks go beyond dated decor: guests describe stained bedding, broken fixtures and occasional roaches. Don't count on the advertised extras, either. An April 2026 Expedia guest reported the pool closed; its reopening is unverified, and multiple guests report no breakfast. Service ranges from accommodating to unresponsive. We'd skip it for family vacations, longer stays or any trip where dependable cleanliness matters.

• Best for: Drivers needing Colonial Boulevard access; Flexible travelers considering a one-night stop

• Watch out for: Recurring cleanliness and maintenance complaints; Pool reported closed; reopening unverified; Breakfast reported unavailable

• Location: On Colonial Boulevard near Edison Mall; more practical with a car than for a walking-based stay.

• Rooms: Fridges and microwaves are useful, but guests repeatedly describe worn furnishings, damaged fixtures and bedding.

• Cleanliness: Some clean-room reports, but recurring complaints about stains, odors and occasional roaches undermine confidence.

• Service: Mixed: some guests praise helpful staff, while others report slow responses and difficulty getting supplies.

• Amenities: Free parking and listed Wi-Fi; guests report connection problems, no breakfast and a pool closure.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a required deposit; confirm pool availability and breakfast directly before booking.
