7.2/10
A reasonable budget stop, with useful extras but uneven rooms and impersonal check-in.
Americas Best Value Inn Ft. Myers is a basic roadside motel, not a full-service three-star hotel. We'd consider it for a short, budget-minded stay with a car. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests often praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and the outdoor pool, while microwaves, mini-fridges, free parking and a simple included breakfast make the basics practical. Restaurants are nearby, but this isn't a beach base you can explore on foot.
The main compromise is consistency. Guest reports range from spacious, comfortable rooms to worn finishes and maintenance problems. Check-in uses a video kiosk rather than a conventional staffed desk; some find it efficient, others frustrating when something needs fixing. There's no elevator, and the hotel requires a check-in deposit. We'd skip it for polished service or a longer vacation where dependable room condition matters more than saving money.
