Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong budget base for drivers, with reliable basics rather than fresh design. a no-frills, budget chain hotel in inland Fort Myers, scored for what it is.

This no-frills, budget chain hotel is a strong pick for travelers who want clean, comfortable basics rather than a resort. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the housekeeping, comfortable beds and friendly staff, with breakfast a particular strength. Free parking, in-room microwaves and refrigerators, and an outdoor pool make it a practical base for short stays and family visits.

The trade-off is an older property: some recent guests describe dated bathrooms, and occasional stale-room smells crop up across sites, though cleanliness feedback remains strongly positive overall. This is inland Fort Myers, not a beach hotel, and having a car makes considerably more sense than relying on walking. We'd skip it for a beach-first vacation or contemporary interiors. Budget for a card hold at check-in, too; its release can take several business days.

• Best for: budget-conscious travelers with a car; short business trips; families visiting the area

• Watch out for: dated bathrooms and occasional stale smells; inland, car-oriented location; incidental hold and delayed release

• Location: A practical driving base, not beachfront; Tripadvisor recommends a car.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and useful microwaves and refrigerators; some bathrooms feel dated.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor, despite occasional odor reports.

• Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise welcoming front-desk staff and the breakfast team.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi, plus an outdoor pool and gym; dining is next door.

• Fees and surprises: Cashless; incidental holds may take 7–10 business days to clear. Expedia also lists a restriction on local residents.
