Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical kitchen-suite base, with useful extras and some uneven room condition. a no-frills, 2-star extended-stay hotel near I-75, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills extended-stay hotel near I-75, and we'd pick it for practical comforts rather than vacation atmosphere. Equipped kitchens, free laundry and free parking make longer stays easier. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff; Booking.com reviews also support the spacious-room appeal. It's a good fit for travelers who want to cook, work and get around by car.

The trade-off is uneven room condition: some guests describe musty or pet-related odors, and older televisions draw complaints. Those reports aren't the dominant picture, but they keep this from being an unqualified recommendation. Housekeeping is weekly, not daily, and breakfast isn't provided. We'd skip it for a pampered getaway or if you're particularly sensitive to odors; it's better suited to a functional stay than a resort-style break.

• Best for: longer stays with self-catering; work trips with a car; budget-conscious pet owners

• Watch out for: occasional musty or pet-related odors; weekly housekeeping; no breakfast provided

• Location: Convenient for I-75 and driving around Fort Myers; no airport or local shuttle.

• Rooms: Kitchen-equipped suites offer useful space, though some guests flag dated TVs and uneven condition.

• Cleanliness: Recent feedback is mostly positive, with a smaller number of odor and upkeep complaints.

• Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff receive repeated praise, although problem handling is less consistent.

• Amenities: Free laundry, gym and Wi-Fi; IHG lists an outdoor pool, but booking listings conflict, so confirm availability.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets incur a nonrefundable fee and deposit; full housekeeping is weekly.
