Axel's take: 8.3/10

A practical airport pick with generous extras, though the rooms show their age. An older mid-range airport hotel with a pool and restaurant, scored for what it is.

This older mid-range airport hotel is a strong pick for an overnight before a flight or a family stay with a car. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, helpful staff and the included breakfast. Free parking, a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle, an indoor pool and a hot tub give it more substance than a basic stopover.

The trade-off is condition rather than missing amenities: recent guests describe dated decor and worn rooms, while some report housekeeping misses or maintenance problems. Those complaints matter, but they sit alongside predominantly positive cleanliness and service ratings. We'd choose it for practical comfort and useful extras, not a fresh boutique feel. Skip it if you want polished interiors or a walkable downtown base.

• Best for: Travelers with early or late flights; Families traveling with a car; Business visitors near Peterson Space Force Base

• Watch out for: Dated decor and worn room finishes; Some recent housekeeping and maintenance lapses; Car-dependent location for sightseeing

• Location: Convenient for the airport and Peterson; less suited to exploring downtown on foot.

• Rooms: Guests often praise the space and comfortable beds, but some find the interiors worn.

• Cleanliness: Positive overall ratings, tempered by several recent reports of missed cleaning.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength, although complaint handling gets mixed feedback.

• Amenities: Included breakfast, indoor pool, hot tub, gym, restaurant/bar and complimentary airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking is free; dog stays require direct arrangements, an extra fee and a refundable deposit.
