#1 of 9 hotels in Garden of the Gods by Axel's take. Garden of the Gods is #5 of 7 places to stay in Colorado Springs. The best hotels in Garden of the Gods, ranked · Where to stay in Colorado Springs

Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong Colorado Springs base for drivers, with standout cleanliness and generous rooms. a comfortable 3-star roadside hotel with extended-stay suites, scored for what it is.

This 3-star hotel near I-25 is a strong pick for exploring Colorado Springs by car. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and genuinely helpful staff. Breakfast generally earns better-than-average marks for a chain hotel, while free parking, an indoor pool and a lobby bar make the practical extras count. Select suites have full kitchens, making this especially useful for families and longer stays.

The setting is convenient rather than charming: choose it for driving to the sights, not stepping into a walkable downtown. Several guests mention dim room or bathroom lighting, and occasional reports of sound carrying between rooms suggest light sleepers should request a quieter upper-floor room. We'd skip it for a romantic retreat, but for a comfortable sightseeing base, it delivers very well.

  • Best for: families exploring by car; road-trippers; longer stays in kitchen suites

  • Watch out for: car-oriented location; dim lighting in some rooms; occasional noise between rooms

  • Location: Convenient access to I-25 and Garden of the Gods; better for drivers than downtown strolling.

  • Rooms: Spacious and comfortable by class standards; full kitchens are limited to select suites.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Expedia, Booking.com and Tripadvisor feedback.

  • Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly, helpful front-desk and breakfast staff.

  • Amenities: Complimentary hot breakfast, indoor heated pool, 24-hour gym, lobby bar and outdoor fire pit.

  • Fees and surprises: Self-parking is free; dogs incur additional charges, and an incidental deposit may apply.
