Axel's take: 7.2/10

A practical north-side base, but breakfast and maintenance need more consistency. a simple, limited-service 2.5-star hotel just off I-25, scored for what it is.

This simple, limited-service 2.5-star hotel works best as a driving base for north Colorado Springs and Air Force Academy visits. Overall guest ratings remain solid, and Tripadvisor guests praise comfortable beds, helpful staff and mountain views. Rooms include microwaves and mini-fridges, and breakfast is included. We'd consider it for a straightforward short stay rather than a hotel-centered vacation.

The recent picture is less consistent than those overall ratings suggest. Multiple 2026 guests report breakfast shortages, unfinished repairs and housekeeping misses, despite IHG advertising recently remodeled rooms. Pool and hot-tub closures recur in reviews; importantly, IHG now says the hotel has no pool, while booking sites still advertise one. Its parking information also contradicts itself about charges. We'd skip it if swimming is essential, and confirm parking terms before booking.

• Best for: Air Force Academy visitors with a car; Short business stays; Road-trippers wanting in-room food basics

• Watch out for: Pool and hot-tub availability cannot be relied on; Recurring breakfast shortages and maintenance complaints; Conflicting parking-fee information

• Location: Convenient I-25 access for north-side visits; better suited to drivers than a downtown walking trip.

• Rooms: Microwaves and mini-fridges are useful; recent guests disagree on room condition and report some unresolved repairs.

• Cleanliness: Overall ratings are positive, but multiple 2026 reviews describe housekeeping misses.

• Service: Friendly front-desk staff earn praise, though problem resolution and staffing receive mixed feedback.

• Amenities: Breakfast, Wi-Fi and a gym are advertised; IHG says no pool, contradicting booking-site listings.

• Fees and surprises: IHG lists both free and paid parking; confirm directly. Dogs are now accepted with a nightly fee.
