Axel's take: 8.1/10

A solid airport base with friendly staff, but check the shuttle hours. a simple, limited-service airport hotel, scored for what it is.

This simple, limited-service airport hotel is a strong pick for a short stay when breakfast, parking and helpful staff matter more than a central location. Recent Expedia and Google guests repeatedly praise clean rooms and welcoming service, while Tripadvisor guests also highlight comfortable beds and breakfast. Free hot breakfast, an indoor pool and a hot tub give it a useful edge over bare-bones budget options.

The biggest catch is transportation: IHG lists the free airport shuttle only from 5 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., so evening arrivals need another plan. You'll also want a car for most dining and sightseeing. Some guests find rooms compact or mattresses too soft or worn, although recent feedback remains mostly positive. We'd choose it for airport convenience, not a walkable Colorado Springs vacation.

• Best for: short airport stays; business travelers with a car; budget-conscious families

• Watch out for: airport shuttle ends at 4:30 p.m.; car-dependent location; some compact rooms and uneven mattress comfort

• Location: Convenient for the airport and nearby businesses; less useful for exploring on foot.

• Rooms: Microwaves and mini-fridges are practical; some guests report tight layouts or overly soft mattresses.

• Cleanliness: Recent feedback is predominantly positive, with isolated pest allegations rather than a dominant pattern.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the most consistent strength across review sites.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast and Wi-Fi, indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center; no on-site restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Guest parking is free; airport shuttle hours are limited, and pets are not allowed.
