#2 of 9 hotels in Downtown by Axel's take. Downtown is #1 of 7 places to stay in Colorado Springs. The best hotels in Downtown, ranked · Where to stay in Colorado Springs

Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong downtown base with useful kitchens and standout breakfast, but some street noise. a modern 3-star Marriott extended-stay hotel downtown, scored for what it is.

Element is a modern 3-star Marriott extended-stay hotel, and we'd put it high on the list for a practical downtown stay. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and welcoming staff. Kitchen-equipped accommodation makes longer visits easier, while the included cooked-to-order breakfast gets unusually enthusiastic feedback. Restaurants are within walking distance, and LUMEN8 adds a rooftop dining option with mountain views.

The main trade-offs are paid parking and noise: several guests report street traffic or sound carrying between rooms, although others describe quiet stays. Breakfast queues can also build at busy times. We'd choose it for a longer work trip or a sightseeing base with cooking flexibility; very light sleepers should look elsewhere or request a room away from the street and elevators.

  • Best for: longer stays with kitchen flexibility; downtown dining and sightseeing; business travelers

  • Watch out for: street and occasional neighboring-room noise; paid parking; breakfast queues at busy times

  • Location: Walkable to downtown restaurants and Pikes Peak Center; major outdoor attractions require transport.

  • Rooms: Modern, comfortable accommodation with kitchen-equipped options; check the layout of your specific room.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent guest feedback, with particularly high Expedia cleanliness ratings.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise across Tripadvisor and Expedia.

  • Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, gym, rooftop LUMEN8 restaurant and EV charging.

  • Fees and surprises: On-site parking costs extra, and dogs incur a fee; breakfast can get crowded.
