Hotels in Barcelonaa practical 4-star in Poblenou, near the beach
8.2/10
A strong beach-and-city base, with friendly staff but some tired rooms.
ILUNION Barcelona is a practical 4-star in Poblenou, strongest for travelers who want beach time and neighborhood restaurants alongside sightseeing. We'd pick it for the spacious rooms, rooftop dipping pool and consistently praised staff. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly highlight comfortable beds, cleanliness and helpful service. Accessibility is another genuine strength: the hotel details adapted rooms, and recent guests describe thoughtful assistance and Braille signage.
The main compromise is polish. Several Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests mention worn bathrooms or furnishings, despite the smart public areas; some also flag weak air conditioning. The rooftop pool is small, not somewhere for serious swimming. Bogatell Beach is roughly a ten-minute walk away, but the headline sights generally require transport. We'd skip it if pristine interiors or walking straight into Barcelona's historic center matter more than space and beach access.
