#8 of 8 hotels in North Monroe & I-10 by Axel's take. North Monroe & I-10 is #5 of 5 places to stay in Tallahassee. The best hotels in North Monroe & I-10, ranked · Where to stay in Tallahassee

Axel's take: 4.7/10

Convenient for a highway stop, but recurring cleanliness problems make this hard to recommend. a no-frills 2-star roadside motel near I-10, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills 2-star roadside motel near I-10, with free parking, free Wi-Fi and places to eat nearby. Those basics are useful, and some Expedia guests praise courteous staff and clean rooms. But its overall ratings sit in the mid-fives on Expedia and Booking.com: even against budget-motel expectations, we'd look elsewhere rather than call this good value.

The bigger concern is the repeated pattern in 2026 guest reports on Trip.com and Planet of Hotels: cockroaches, dirty floors or bedding, and poorly maintained rooms. Several guests also describe broken fixtures or unreliable hot water. These are basic upkeep failures, not missing luxuries. We'd skip it for families, longer stays or anyone needing a dependable night's rest. If you still choose it, inspect the room immediately and confirm the deposit and pet charges before arrival.

Best for: short highway stops with low expectations; drivers prioritizing North Monroe access
Watch out for: recurring cockroach and cleanliness reports; broken fixtures and hot-water complaints; deposit and listed pet charges
Location: Convenient for I-10 and nearby dining; downtown and university visits generally require a drive.
Rooms: Basic rooms with repeated recent complaints about worn fittings, broken televisions and unreliable hot water.
Cleanliness: Some clean-room praise, but recurring 2026 reports of cockroaches and dirty floors or bedding are the main concern.
Service: Friendly staff receive praise, though complaint handling and room readiness are inconsistent.
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi and parking; the official site also lists coin laundry, morning coffee and pet-friendly accommodation.
Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a deposit, pet charges and some check-in/out charges; confirm terms directly.
