Axel's take: 7.2/10
A useful highway stop, but room upkeep is less consistent than the welcoming lobby. A practical, pet-friendly 3-star off I-10, scored for what it is.
This practical 3-star off I-10 makes sense for a short, car-based Tallahassee visit. Free hot breakfast and parking help the value, while the gym and on-site tavern add convenience. Recent Expedia guests frequently praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and clean rooms; Tripadvisor also has satisfied repeat visitors. We'd consider it for an overnight stop rather than a hotel-centered vacation.
The catch is uneven room condition. Several 2025–2026 guests describe musty or pet odors, dampness, worn bathrooms and maintenance problems, alongside plenty of trouble-free stays. Some also report noise between rooms. Those recurring complaints matter more than the refreshed lobby: we'd skip it if you're sensitive to smells or want reliably fresh accommodations. Downtown and campus visits generally mean driving.
