#4 of 7 hotels in Governor's Square & Apalachee Parkway by Axel's take. Governor's Square & Apalachee Parkway is #3 of 5 places to stay in Tallahassee. The best hotels in Governor's Square & Apalachee Parkway, ranked · Where to stay in Tallahassee

Axel's take: 8.2/10

Spacious suites and standout hospitality, with some upkeep caveats. A practical 3-star all-suite hotel for families and longer stays, scored for what it is.

This 3-star all-suite hotel is a strong pick for families and longer stays, especially if kitchen space matters more than fresh décor. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, roomy layouts and unusually well-liked included breakfast. Free parking and in-suite kitchens strengthen the value, while the outdoor pool gives families another useful extra. We'd choose it for a practical Tallahassee base with a car.

The caveat is condition rather than hospitality: a smaller set of recent reviews describes tired finishes and cleaning misses. A July 2026 Tripadvisor guest also reported construction and renovation; completion isn't confirmed, so ask about current work before booking. This isn't a walk-out-the-door downtown location, and Hilton lists no shuttle. We'd skip it if immaculate, freshly updated surroundings or exploring without a car are priorities.

  • Best for: Families needing separate living space; Extended stays with kitchen access; Business travelers with a car

  • Watch out for: Renovation reported in July 2026; confirm current status; Some dated finishes and cleaning inconsistencies; Car-oriented location; no shuttle

  • Location: Off Apalachee Parkway, convenient by car rather than a walkable downtown base.

  • Rooms: Spacious suites with kitchens and separate living areas; some guests report worn finishes.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive feedback, tempered by several recent room and common-area cleaning complaints.

  • Service: Friendly front-desk and breakfast staff draw consistent praise across sites.

  • Amenities: Included hot breakfast, Wi-Fi, outdoor pool, fitness center and Wednesday evening social.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets incur a nonrefundable fee, and reported renovation completion remains unverified.
