#3 of 9 hotels in Södermalm by Axel's take. Södermalm is #2 of 8 places to stay in Stockholm. The best hotels in Södermalm, ranked · Where to stay in Stockholm
Axel's take: 8.8/10
A strong Södermalm pick for breakfast, design and wine-bar evenings, with some tight rooms. a characterful 4-star boutique hotel in Södermalm, scored for what it is.
NOFO is a characterful 4-star boutique hotel in Södermalm, and we'd choose it for a neighborhood-focused Stockholm break. Individually themed interiors give it personality, while the courtyard wine bar makes staying in appealing. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the breakfast, welcoming staff and comfortable beds. Restaurants, shops and the metro are close, with the Old Town within walking distance.
The main compromise is space: smaller rooms and bathrooms draw repeated complaints, so choose the room category carefully. Recent guests also mention some internal noise and warm rooms without air-conditioning; breakfast can get crowded. Cleanliness feedback is overwhelmingly positive, despite occasional housekeeping misses. It's a strong pick for couples and solo explorers, but we'd skip it if generous space or dependable summer cooling matters more than atmosphere.
