#5 of 6 hotels in Kungsholmen by Axel's take. Kungsholmen is #7 of 8 places to stay in Stockholm. The best hotels in Kungsholmen, ranked · Where to stay in Stockholm

Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical Stockholm base with welcoming staff, but choose your room carefully. a simple, budget-friendly 3-star city hotel in Kungsholmen, scored for what it is.

Aiden is a simple 3-star in Kungsholmen that makes a good base for travelers spending most of their time exploring. It's outside the main tourist core, but Fridhemsplan metro is within walking distance. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful reception team and included breakfast, while Booking.com ratings reinforce the strong service. We'd pick it for a short, value-conscious city break rather than a hotel-centered stay.

The main compromise is the room: many are compact, and economy options—including some family rooms—have no windows. Check the exact category before booking. Cleanliness is generally well rated, but housekeeping is limited, and several Tripadvisor guests report missed cleaning or towel requests. We'd skip it if you want spacious accommodation, dependable daily servicing, or major sights immediately outside.

  • Best for: value-conscious city explorers; short stays using public transport; travelers who prioritize friendly staff

  • Watch out for: windowless economy and some family rooms; compact rooms; limited housekeeping

  • Location: Kungsholmen neighborhood base, roughly eight minutes on foot from Fridhemsplan metro; not in the main sightseeing core.

  • Rooms: Simple and often compact; confirm windows, bed configuration and occupancy for your exact category.

  • Cleanliness: Generally positive ratings, though several guests report cleaning and towel requests going unfulfilled.

  • Service: Helpful, welcoming reception staff are the most consistent strength across review sites.

  • Amenities: Included breakfast, free Wi-Fi, lounge/bar, bistro, games area and a sauna booked through reception.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and dogs cost extra; parking is limited and should be arranged ahead. Do not assume daily housekeeping.
