#3 of 9 hotels in Vasastan by Axel's take. Vasastan is #5 of 8 places to stay in Stockholm. The best hotels in Vasastan, ranked · Where to stay in Stockholm

Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong neighborhood base with excellent breakfast, rather than a sightseeing doorstep. a comfortable, practical 4-star in residential Vasastan, scored for what it is.

Best Western Plus Time Hotel is a practical 4-star in residential Vasastan, and a strong pick for comfort without luxury fuss. Recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Trip.com guests consistently praise clean rooms, helpful staff and an unusually good breakfast buffet. The included sauna, booked privately through reception, adds something worthwhile beyond the basics. It’s good value if you prefer neighborhood restaurants and everyday Stockholm to staying among the main sights.

The compromise is convenience: Odenplan is roughly a ten-minute walk away, so expect transport or longer walks for sightseeing. Breakfast can get crowded, and standard rooms lack some extras guests expect, notably a fridge. Parking costs extra in the independently operated garage underneath. We’d skip it if immediate access to the old town or full-service luxury matters more than a comfortable neighborhood base.

  • Best for: couples seeking neighborhood character; value-minded city-break travelers; visitors comfortable using public transport

  • Watch out for: roughly ten-minute walk to Odenplan; crowded breakfast periods; no fridge in standard rooms

  • Location: Residential Vasastan, with restaurants, supermarkets and parks nearby; not beside the main tourist sights.

  • Rooms: Comfortable and practical rather than luxurious; heated bathroom floors, but standard rooms lack fridges.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent guest reviews, supported by strong cleanliness ratings.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff receive repeated praise across several review sites.

  • Amenities: Breakfast buffet, Wi-Fi, lobby bar and a complimentary sauna booked through reception.

  • Fees and surprises: The garage beneath the hotel is independently operated and paid; confirm payment arrangements at reception.
