#6 of 9 hotels in Vasastan by Axel's take. Vasastan is #5 of 8 places to stay in Stockholm. The best hotels in Vasastan, ranked · Where to stay in Stockholm

Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong-value city base, with breakfast and gym facilities better than its rooms. a practical 3-star city hotel in central Stockholm, scored for what it is.

Best Western Kom is a practical 3-star in Norrmalm, and we'd pick it for a straightforward Stockholm break rather than a stylish hotel stay. Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, convenient location and generous included breakfast. Generally good cleanliness feedback adds reassurance, while the substantial gym and sauna give it more substance than many simple city hotels. Rådmansgatan metro is a short walk away.

The main compromise is the room: categories vary considerably, and recent guests describe some tired furnishings and limited daylight. Economy options include windowless rooms, so check the exact category rather than relying on the headline photos. Summer guests also repeatedly report warm rooms without air conditioning. It's good value if you're out exploring most of the day; we'd skip it if cooling, views or consistently polished interiors are priorities.

Best for: value-minded city-break travelers; sightseers using public transport; travelers who want a proper gym
Watch out for: summer heat and reported lack of air conditioning; windowless economy rooms; variable room condition and daylight
Location: Central Norrmalm, near shops and restaurants; roughly four minutes' walk to Rådmansgatan metro.
Rooms: Functional but varied; check size, windows and bed configuration carefully.
Cleanliness: Generally well rated across sites, despite occasional individual complaints.
Service: Helpful reception staff are a recurring strength across guest-review sites.
Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, substantial gym, sauna, free Wi-Fi and a lobby bar.
Fees and surprises: Garage parking costs extra and requires advance booking; pets incur a supplement in designated rooms.
