Axel's take: 8.3/10
A strong Gangnam base with comfortable beds, helpful staff and compact rooms. a design-led 3-star boutique hotel in Gangnam, scored for what it is.
Hotel Cappuccino is a design-led 3-star boutique hotel, not the full-service four-star its listing might suggest. We'd pick it for a short Gangnam stay: Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, while Eonju Station is a short walk away. The café and 17th-floor restaurant and bar give it more personality than a standard business hotel.
The main compromise is space. Standard rooms put a generous bed ahead of luggage and lounging room, and small-room comments recur across booking sites. Booking.com also lists centrally controlled heating and cooling, worth noting if you're particular about temperature. Breakfast and parking cost extra unless included in your booking. It's a strong fit for solo travelers and light-packing couples; we'd skip the standard rooms for a longer stay with bulky luggage.
