Axel's take: 7.9/10
A good Gangnam base with helpful staff, but choose your room size carefully. A compact 3-star boutique hotel in Gangnam, scored for what it is.
Hotel Crescendo Seoul is a compact 3-star boutique hotel that makes sense for short Gangnam stays and COEX business trips. Expedia, Agoda and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, clean rooms and convenient subway access. We'd pick it for those practical strengths rather than spacious accommodation. The hotel's free self-service laundry and gym add useful extras for its class.
The main compromise is space: the official site puts Petite rooms at just 15 square meters, and guests regularly mention limited luggage room. Larger King categories are worth considering for two people. Some guests also report air-conditioning problems. Since June 1, 2026, standard housekeeping runs on odd-numbered calendar dates; cleaning on other days requires a request before noon. We'd skip the Petite rooms for longer stays with bulky luggage.
-
Best for: solo travelers packing light; short Gangnam business stays; COEX visitors
-
Watch out for: very small Petite rooms; occasional air-conditioning problems; reduced housekeeping schedule
-
Location: A few minutes from Seonjeongneung Station; COEX is roughly a 15-minute walk.
-
Rooms: Petite rooms are 15 square meters; larger King categories offer more breathing room.
-
Cleanliness: Generally praised across recent reviews, but standard housekeeping is no longer daily.
-
Service: Helpful front-desk staff are a recurring strength, including when arranging room changes.
-
Amenities: Restaurant, complimentary 24-hour gym and free washers and dryers; detergent costs extra.
-
Fees and surprises: Parking and some disposable amenities cost extra; the official site now advertises free guest breakfast, unlike Expedia.
