Axel's take: 8.5/10
A strong COEX base with clean rooms, helpful staff and construction outside. a compact mid-range business hotel beside Samseong Station, scored for what it is.
GLAD Gangnam COEX Center is a compact mid-range business hotel that gets the essentials right. We'd pick it for COEX events or a Gangnam-focused trip: Samseong Station's Exit 1 is immediately outside, with the convention center and shopping nearby. Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests consistently praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and helpful staff. A free 24-hour gym and paid self-service laundry make it practical beyond a quick overnight.
The main compromise is space: standard rooms are compact, especially with two suitcases. Yeongdong-daero construction around Samseong Station is another real drawback; the hotel posts a noise warning, and a September 2026 Expedia review reports continuing works and pedestrian detours. Parking is limited and charged separately. We'd skip it for a spacious hotel-centered holiday or a first Seoul visit focused mainly on sights north of the river.
