Axel's take: 8.5/10

Warm service and beachfront convenience outweigh dated rooms, but check club access carefully. a beachfront 4-star all-inclusive geared toward families, scored for what it is.

This beachfront 4-star all-inclusive in Puerto Vallarta’s Hotel Zone is a strong pick for families who value friendly service over cutting-edge rooms. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the staff and cleanliness, with plenty of positive reports about the restaurants too. The beach, pool and kids’ club make resort days straightforward, while nearby shops and transport let you get beyond the property without feeling stranded.

The compromise is an older hotel: rooms are generally described as clean and comfortable rather than particularly fresh. Dinner reservations need planning, and food draws some mixed reactions despite the broadly positive feedback. Crucially, the adults-only SONNE infinity pool is reserved for Fiesta Club and suite guests—not every all-inclusive booking. Some 2026 Tripadvisor reviews mention construction noise; confirm what work remains before booking. We’d skip it for sleek luxury or guaranteed quiet.

• Best for: families wanting an easy beach vacation; travelers who prioritize friendly service; resort guests who also want town access

• Watch out for: dated room finishes; SONNE pool restricted to club and suite guests; dinner reservations and reported construction noise

• Location: Beachfront in the Hotel Zone, with shops nearby and transport needed for convenient downtown exploring.

• Rooms: Private balconies or terraces; guests generally find rooms comfortable but increasingly dated.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Expedia reviews and Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Warm, attentive staff are the clearest recurring reason guests recommend returning.

• Amenities: Beach, main pool, kids’ club, gym and spa; adults-only SONNE access depends on room category.

• Fees and surprises: Spa treatments cost extra; verify club inclusions, dinner booking arrangements and any remaining construction.
