Axel's take: 6.7/10

A workable family all-inclusive, but noise and uneven standards limit its appeal. a budget, family-focused all-inclusive with beach access, scored for what it is.

Costa Club Punta Arena is a budget, family-focused all-inclusive in Puerto Vallarta’s Hotel Zone. We’d consider it for an affordable pool-and-beach holiday, not a polished resort experience. The official site offers family suites and beach access; Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, working air-conditioning and routine cleaning. Its location also makes trips downtown straightforward.

The compromises are substantial: Tripadvisor guests describe dated rooms, loud pool music and repetitive food, while Expedia feedback also flags crowded pools and difficulty reserving the Italian restaurant. Cleanliness earns plenty of praise, but isn’t consistent across reports. Expedia currently lists parking-area renovations through December 31, 2026, with possible disturbance. We’d skip it for a quiet couples’ break or if food and room condition are priorities.

• Best for: budget-conscious families; groups wanting a lively pool scene; travelers combining resort time with downtown outings

• Watch out for: loud pool music and busy family areas; dated rooms and uneven food; parking-area renovations through December 31, 2026

• Location: Hotel Zone base with beach access and convenient connections to downtown.

• Rooms: Standard rooms and larger family suites; guests report dated furnishings and unreliable room Wi-Fi.

• Cleanliness: Many Expedia guests praise housekeeping, but Tripadvisor reports include damp smells and cleaning shortcomings.

• Service: Helpful restaurant and housekeeping staff receive frequent praise; reception feedback is more mixed.

• Amenities: Multiple pools, a children's club, buffet dining and an Italian restaurant; reservations can be difficult.

• Fees and surprises: Parking-area works are listed for July 23–December 31, 2026; confirm disruption and all-inclusive restrictions before booking.
