Petit Lafitte is a small, rustic beachfront hotel on Xcalacoco Beach, and we'd pick it for personal service and a slower pace rather than polished luxury. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the friendly staff, cleanliness and relaxed atmosphere. Air-conditioned rooms and bungalows, a modest pool, hammocks and daily yoga make a convincing setup for doing very little. Breakfast and dinner earn mostly positive feedback, although enthusiasm for the food isn't unanimous.
