Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Optional: inspect rooms and rates at Hotel Riu Palace Mexico - All Inclusive. Use known dates and guests; selecting a room or rate is optional.

Axel's take: 8.3/10

Warm service and a prime beach, with post-renovation problems still worth checking. a renovated, adults-only five-star beachfront all-inclusive in Playacar, scored for what it is.

This five-star beachfront all-inclusive in gated Playacar is now adults-only following its September 2026 renovation. We'd shortlist it for an easy beach holiday: redesigned rooms, generous dining choice and staff who repeatedly earn enthusiastic praise. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests particularly appreciate the service, grounds and beachfront setting. It's an upscale resort experience rather than intimate, highly personalized luxury.

The reopening hasn't been entirely smooth. September and October guests report unfinished construction, plumbing faults and power interruptions; others describe excellent stays, so these aren't universal experiences. Poolside music and activities can also undermine the adults-only promise of tranquility. Confirm that remaining work near your room is finished, and check whether the facilities you want require Elite Club. We'd skip it for a silence-first honeymoon or if you expect flawless five-star execution.

Best for: couples wanting an adults-only beach holiday; friends who enjoy organized entertainment; travelers prioritizing friendly service
Watch out for: recent construction and room-maintenance reports; loud poolside activities; Elite Club-only facilities
Location: Directly on Playacar beach, with downtown Playa del Carmen a short ride away.
Rooms: Completely redesigned in 2026; recent guests praise the space but report some plumbing and electrical faults.
Cleanliness: Strong overall guest ratings, although some reopening reviews describe unfinished cleanup.
Service: Friendly, attentive staff remain the most consistent strength across review sites.
Amenities: Multiple pools, varied dining, a spa, gym and 24-hour sports bar; some facilities are Elite Club-only.
Fees and surprises: Check Elite Club inclusions and confirm local environmental taxes and remaining construction before arrival.
