Hotels in Pittsburgha budget 2-star roadside motel in Banksville
5.2/10
Free parking near downtown, but inconsistent housekeeping makes this a reluctant budget pick.
This budget 2-star roadside motel in Banksville offers free parking and a short drive to downtown Pittsburgh, but we'd treat it as a fallback rather than a dependable bargain. Expedia's 5.8/10 and Booking.com's roughly 5.4/10 reflect weak overall satisfaction. Some 2026 guests praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful receptionists; Wyndham advertises a light breakfast and seasonal outdoor pool.
The problem is consistency in basics that even a simple motel should get right. Tripadvisor and recent booking-site reviews repeatedly describe dirty or stained surfaces and linens, musty or cigarette smells, and tired facilities. Service ranges from accommodating to uninterested, while breakfast is a modest grab-and-go offering. It's most defensible for an undemanding overnight stop with a car. We'd skip it for a longer stay, a walkable city break, or if reliable cleanliness matters more than free parking.

Best for: budget travelers with a car; short overnight stops
Watch out for: recurring housekeeping and odor complaints; worn rooms and inconsistent service; roadside setting poorly suited to sightseeing on foot
Location: Banksville roadside location: convenient by car, not a downtown walking base.
Rooms: Some guests find comfortable beds, but wear, odors and maintenance complaints recur.
Cleanliness: Clean-room reports coexist with repeated complaints about dirty surfaces and stained linens.
Service: Recent guests describe both helpful receptionists and inattentive problem handling.
Amenities: Free parking, light grab-and-go breakfast, guest laundry and a seasonal outdoor pool; confirm seasonal availability.
Fees and surprises: Guests report an incidental deposit; early check-in may cost extra and is not guaranteed.
