Hotels in Pittsburgha modern, select-service mid-range hotel near the convention center
8.5/10
A strong convention base with clean rooms and a rooftop lounge, but parking takes planning.
AC Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown is a modern, select-service mid-range hotel that gets the important things right. It's a strong pick for convention visits or exploring downtown and the Strip District on foot. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; the Level 7 rooftop lounge adds a worthwhile place to unwind with city views.
The compromises are mostly practical rather than fundamental. Marriott confirms there is no on-site parking: drivers use public lots or metered spaces, and breakfast costs extra. Check-in is upstairs rather than at street level, which can make arrival less intuitive. We'd choose it for a comfortable city stay, but skip it if included breakfast and effortless parking are priorities.

Best for: convention attendees; couples exploring downtown and the Strip District; business travelers
Watch out for: paid public parking rather than on-site parking; breakfast costs extra; upstairs lobby adds an elevator trip at arrival
Location: A short walk to the convention center, with downtown and Strip District attractions within walking reach.
Rooms: Modern rooms earn strong praise for comfortable beds and showers; one recent Expedia guest found the lighting dim.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest accounts, supported by high cleanliness ratings on Expedia and Booking.com.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring positive across several review sites.
Amenities: Level 7 rooftop lounge, fitness center and European-style breakfast; no airport shuttle.
Fees and surprises: Breakfast and public parking are extra; check the chosen lot's re-entry rules before moving your car.
