Axel's take: 7.9/10

A refreshed budget stop with helpful staff, but stairs and road noise remain. a renovated 2-star budget motel in west Omaha, now a Days Inn, scored for what it is.

The former Super 8 at 11610 West Dodge Road is now Days Inn by Wyndham Omaha NE, a simple 2-star motel rather than a full-service 3-star hotel. It changed brands in September 2025 following a renovation. We'd consider it a good-value stop for travelers with a car: recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, refreshed rooms and friendly staff, while Booking.com's overall rating is more measured.

The older building still brings compromises. There's no elevator, Dodge-facing rooms can pick up traffic noise, and some guests report small maintenance faults despite the updates. Breakfast generally earns decent marks, but isn't consistently hot or well stocked. Renovation work was still mentioned in August 2026; October guests describe a remodeled property, so confirm any remaining work. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat or if stairs are a problem.

  • Best for: budget-conscious road trippers; short west Omaha visits; travelers with a car

  • Watch out for: no elevator; traffic noise facing Dodge Road; confirm remaining renovation work

  • Location: West Dodge Road near I-680; useful for west Omaha errands, less suited to a downtown-focused walking trip.

  • Rooms: Refreshed rooms include microwaves and mini-fridges; occasional maintenance faults and road noise remain.

  • Cleanliness: Recent feedback is predominantly positive, with clean rooms a recurring strength.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive consistent praise across recent reviews.

  • Amenities: Free parking, breakfast, a gym and guest laundry; the official site specifies free Wi-Fi for Wyndham Rewards members.

  • Fees and surprises: Now branded Days Inn; pet fees apply, there's no elevator, and remaining renovation work warrants checking.
