#9 of 9 hotels in Aksarben Village by Axel's take. Aksarben Village is #5 of 7 places to stay in Omaha. The best hotels in Aksarben Village, ranked · Where to stay in Omaha

Axel's take: 5.2/10

Convenient for drivers, but uneven cleaning and persistent maintenance problems make this hard to recommend. an older budget chain hotel near I-80 and Baxter Arena, scored for what it is.

This older budget chain hotel near I-80 and Baxter Arena has practical strengths: free parking, included breakfast and some spacious suites. Recent Expedia guests often praise helpful staff and comfortable beds, while some Trip.com guests report perfectly satisfactory stays. Still, we'd treat it as a fallback rather than a dependable budget pick; its cleaning and upkeep fall short even of modest expectations.

Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews repeatedly describe stained carpets, worn bathrooms and broken room fittings, while smoke odors also recur across sites. These aren't simply complaints about dated décor: basic maintenance remains an issue in October 2026 reviews. An indoor pool and gym are listed, but don't choose it on amenities alone. Travelers who need reliably clean rooms, dislike smoke smells or want a polished family base should look elsewhere.

  • Best for: drivers needing the Baxter Arena area; short stays with modest expectations

  • Watch out for: inconsistent cleaning and stained carpets; recurring smoke-odor complaints; worn bathrooms and broken fittings

  • Location: Practical for I-80 and Baxter Arena; better suited to driving than a downtown sightseeing stay.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds and roomy suites earn praise, but damaged fittings and plumbing problems recur.

  • Cleanliness: Some guests find clean rooms; repeated carpet, bathroom and common-area complaints undermine consistency.

  • Service: Helpful front-desk staff are a recurring positive, though problem resolution receives mixed reports.

  • Amenities: Breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi included; indoor pool, gym and restaurant listed, with uneven breakfast upkeep.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists extra charges for pets, rollaways and in-room refrigerators; confirm requirements before booking.
