#2 of 7 hotels in Eppley Airfield by Axel's take. Eppley Airfield is #6 of 7 places to stay in Omaha. The best hotels in Eppley Airfield, ranked · Where to stay in Omaha

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A dependable airport stop with refreshed rooms and genuinely helpful staff. a straightforward 2-star airport hotel in Carter Lake, scored for what it is.

This straightforward 2-star in Carter Lake is a strong pick for an overnight before flying from Omaha. Best Western says the guestrooms are newly renovated, and recent Expedia guests back that up. Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews repeatedly praise comfortable beds, clean rooms and helpful staff. Included hot breakfast, an indoor pool and a free airport shuttle give it a useful package for its class—not a reason to linger, but good value for a practical stay.

The setting suits airport logistics better than exploring Omaha on foot. A few recent guests report musty smells or imperfect bathroom upkeep, though positive cleanliness reports clearly dominate. The published shuttle window is 4 a.m. to midnight; confirm your pickup rather than assuming round-the-clock service. Parking during your stay is free, but leaving a car while traveling can cost extra. We'd skip it for a walkable city break.

  • Best for: early-flight travelers; short airport stopovers; families with a car

  • Watch out for: airport shuttle is not 24-hour; extended parking can cost extra; occasional room odors and bathroom upkeep complaints

  • Location: Convenient for Eppley Airfield and a short drive from downtown; not a walkable sightseeing base.

  • Rooms: Newly renovated according to the hotel; guests frequently praise comfortable beds and spacious rooms.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive recent reports, with occasional complaints about odors and bathroom cleaning.

  • Service: Helpful, courteous staff are a consistent strength across Tripadvisor and Expedia.

  • Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, fitness room, guest laundry and scheduled airport shuttle.

  • Fees and surprises: Free stay parking; extended parking may incur charges. Card payment and an incidental hold are required.
