#9 of 9 hotels in Upper Hill by Axel's take. Upper Hill is #4 of 8 places to stay in Nairobi. The best hotels in Upper Hill, ranked · Where to stay in Nairobi

Axel's take: 6.9/10

A practical Upper Hill stopover, but room comfort needs checking. a small, no-frills 2-star hotel in Nairobi’s Upper Hill, scored for what it is.

Upperhill Blueberry is a small, no-frills 2-star hotel best considered for a short Upper Hill stopover. We'd shortlist it for nearby appointments rather than a holiday stay. Guest feedback gives some grounds for optimism: a November 2025 Trip.com guest found the compact room clean, with reliable hot water, and Expedia's May 2025 stay earned a positive rating. Older reviews also praise helpful staff.

The trade-off is uncertain consistency. KAYAK's collected reviews repeatedly flag poor ventilation, while several visible Google reviews praise meals rather than overnight stays. Recent cleanliness reports conflict, so they don't establish a dependable standard either way. Evidence is limited, and parking and breakfast details differ between listings. Confirm both, plus your room's ventilation, before booking. We'd skip it for a long stay or if predictable housekeeping matters more than location.

Best for: budget-conscious Upper Hill visitors; short overnight stays
Watch out for: compact rooms and ventilation complaints; limited, conflicting recent housekeeping feedback; unclear parking and breakfast arrangements
Location: At KMA Centre on Mara Road, convenient for Upper Hill appointments and Nairobi Hospital.
Rooms: Simple private-bathroom rooms; a recent guest confirms hot water, but ventilation draws repeated complaints.
Cleanliness: A November 2025 guest praised cleaning; a September 2025 guest reported missed housekeeping.
Service: Older feedback often praises friendly staff; recent evidence is too sparse to confirm consistency.
Amenities: Listings agree on a restaurant, bar, free Wi-Fi and 24-hour reception.
Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast inclusion and parking directly; Expedia lists no on-site parking and a 10 AM checkout.
