Axel's take

an upscale 4-star condo-and-villa beach resort in North Myrtle Beach

8.1/10

A strong family resort for space and pools, but check construction before booking.

North Beach is an upscale 4-star condo-and-villa resort, not a conventional luxury hotel. We'd shortlist it for families wanting room to spread out and plenty of pool time. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious accommodations, ocean views, helpful staff and the extensive pool complex. Choose the oceanfront towers for beach convenience; villas sit farther back.

The trade-offs are uneven unit upkeep, occasional cleaning misses and busy-time elevator waits. Daily tower housekeeping means towel replacement and trash pickup, rather than full hotel service. More importantly, an Expedia rental listing advertises exterior, balcony, pool and common-area improvements from September 2026 through May 2027, with temporary closures possible. Confirm your specific unit's exposure and available pools before committing. We'd skip it for an uninterrupted, full-service luxury escape.

Best for

  • families wanting spacious accommodations
  • multigenerational beach trips
  • pool-focused vacations

Watch out for

  • construction and possible closures through May 2027
  • variable unit upkeep and limited housekeeping
  • peak-time elevator waits
Location
North Myrtle Beach near Barefoot Landing; towers are oceanfront, while villas sit farther inland.
Rooms
Spacious condos and villas; furnishings and maintenance vary by unit.
Cleanliness
Generally well rated, with some recent reports of cleaning misses and worn furnishings.
Service
Staff receive frequent praise, but this is not a full-service luxury hotel.
Amenities
Extensive pools, lazy river, swim-up bar, spa, gym and dining; confirm construction-related availability.
Fees and surprises
Resort fee applies; parking is free, breakfast costs extra, and house towel/trash service is chargeable.

  • This page: North Beach Resort & Villas rates, Myrtle Beach. Every rate Axel has seen for North Beach Resort & Villas in Myrtle Beach in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
  • Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on North Beach Resort & Villas for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check North Beach Resort & Villas; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at North Beach Resort & Villas. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
  • Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
  • If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel North Beach Resort & Villas rates, Myrtle Beach" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/myrtle-beach/north-beach-resort-villas-1127838; an address the traveler opens always works.
  • Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
