#4 of 9 hotels in Schwabing by Axel's take. Schwabing is #7 of 9 places to stay in Munich. The best hotels in Schwabing, ranked · Where to stay in Munich

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A comfortable north-Munich base, provided you’re happy taking transit into town. a practical 3-star-superior business and family hotel in north Munich, scored for what it is.

This 3-star-superior hotel in Parkstadt Schwabing is a strong pick for practical comfort rather than central-Munich atmosphere. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. Family rooms have two queen beds, while a gym, lobby bar and bistro give it useful extras for its class. Despite the “Premium” name, think straightforward and functional, not upscale.

The main compromise is location: the tram is around five minutes away, but sightseeing requires a ride. Paid garage parking is a short walk from the hotel. Several recent Tripadvisor guests flag awkward bathroom privacy and coffee machines supplied on request; Tripadvisor and Expedia also contain recent reports of missed housekeeping during multiday stays. Those caveats don’t outweigh the broadly positive feedback, but we’d skip it for walk-everywhere sightseeing or if bathroom privacy is essential.

  • Best for: families sharing one room; business travelers in north Munich; city visitors comfortable using transit

  • Watch out for: tram ride needed for central sightseeing; limited bathroom privacy; paid garage parking away from the entrance

  • Location: Parkstadt Schwabing, north of the center; the hotel puts Domagkstraße tram stop about five minutes away on foot.

  • Rooms: Functional rooms with large beds; family rooms have two queens, but guests question the bathroom layout’s privacy.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, although recent guests on two sites report missed housekeeping during longer stays.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are a recurring strength in recent Expedia and Booking.com feedback.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, fitness room, breakfast buffet, 24-hour lobby bar and a bistro; coffee machines are available on request.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast may cost extra; garage parking is charged separately, and recent guests report coffee-machine deposits or capsule charges.
