Hotels in MunichA no-frills 3-star opposite Munich’s main station
6.9/10
Handy for trains, but summer heat and station-side noise limit its appeal.
This no-frills 3-star opposite Munich’s main station is a practical stopover rather than a hotel to linger in. We'd consider it for a short, transport-focused stay: trains, trams and the airport bus are close, and the old town is walkable. Recent Expedia and HolidayCheck guests regularly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and breakfast. The overall picture is adequate rather than outstanding, with location doing much of the work.
The compromises matter. Rooms can be small and dated, and recent Tripadvisor guests repeatedly report no air-conditioning and uncomfortable summer heat. Opening windows brings tram and traffic noise; major Hauptbahnhof construction across the road adds another disturbance. Breakfast costs extra. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat or a heat-sensitive summer stay; request a rear-facing room if booking.
Axel's opinion, from the hotel's website and recent guest reviews, scored for what the hotel is. Sources: Hotel website · Expedia · Tripadvisor · holidaycheck.de · Booking.com · stadt.muenchen.de. Reviewed Oct 10, 2026.
