#7 of 9 hotels in Schwabing by Axel's take. Schwabing is #7 of 9 places to stay in Munich. The best hotels in Schwabing, ranked · Where to stay in Munich
Axel's take: 7.7/10
Good space for the money, but dated rooms and uneven housekeeping hold it back. a practical mid-range all-suite hotel in Munich’s northern business district, scored for what it is.
This practical mid-range all-suite hotel in Parkstadt Schwabing is a good pick if room space matters more than a central address. Its 30-square-meter suites have microwaves, fridges and kettles—useful for families and longer stays. Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the spacious rooms and helpful staff, while the quieter business-district setting suits work trips. We'd choose it for practicality rather than atmosphere.
The trade-offs are dated interiors and inconsistent housekeeping, with recent Accor and Trip.com guests reporting missed cleaning. Management acknowledges wear and says renovations are being planned, not completed. The tram is a short walk away, but Alte Heide U-Bahn takes roughly 15 minutes on foot. Drivers should know the paid garage entrance is repeatedly described as very tight. We'd skip it for polished interiors or sightseeing straight from the doorstep.
-
Best for: families wanting extra room; business travelers in northern Munich; longer stays with simple food preparation
-
Watch out for: dated rooms and uneven housekeeping; very tight paid garage entrance; transit needed for central sightseeing
-
Location: Quiet business-district setting; tram nearby, with Alte Heide U-Bahn roughly 15 minutes away on foot.
-
Rooms: Spacious 30-square-meter suites with microwaves and fridges; dated finishes and some summer air-conditioning complaints.
-
Cleanliness: Generally positive overall, but missed cleaning and dusty rooms recur across recent reviews.
-
Service: Helpful staff receive frequent praise, though problem handling and family-bed preparation can be inconsistent.
-
Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, a small gym, buffet breakfast, a bar and snacks; dining provision is limited.
-
Fees and surprises: Parking and pets cost extra; breakfast may be extra, and planned renovations are not a completed refurbishment.
