#8 of 9 hotels in Olympiapark & BMW Welt by Axel's take. Olympiapark & BMW Welt is #8 of 9 places to stay in Munich. The best hotels in Olympiapark & BMW Welt, ranked · Where to stay in Munich

Axel's take: 7.6/10

A useful self-catering base, provided you accept dated corners and no air-conditioning. a practical mid-range apartment hotel near Olympiapark, scored for what it is.

Living Hotel am Olympiapark is a practical mid-range apartment hotel in a quiet residential neighborhood, rather than a central sightseeing hotel. We'd pick it for longer stays: kitchenettes, laundry facilities and an adjacent grocery store make everyday life easier, while nearby trams and the U-Bahn connect you to central Munich. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally praise the helpful staff, comfortable beds and cleanliness. Confirm kitchenette access when booking; the hotel lists it as available on request.

The compromise is polish. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews describe dated interiors and uneven upkeep, although many guests remain satisfied. There is no air-conditioning, making this a weaker summer choice for heat-sensitive sleepers. Breakfast and garage parking cost extra. Also, the nearby Olympic Stadium is closed for renovation until 2029. We'd skip it if you want consistently fresh interiors or Munich's old town on your doorstep.

  • Best for: Longer stays with self-catering; Travelers seeking a quiet neighborhood; Visitors exploring Olympiapark

  • Watch out for: No air-conditioning; Dated interiors and uneven upkeep; Olympic Stadium closed for renovation

  • Location: Residential Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, near Olympiapark; tram and U-Bahn stops are within walking distance.

  • Rooms: Practical rooms and larger apartments; some have balconies, with kitchenettes listed on request.

  • Cleanliness: Generally well rated, though some recent guests report cleaning and maintenance lapses.

  • Service: Helpful staff are a recurring positive, with occasional reports of less attentive handling.

  • Amenities: Restaurant, breakfast, free Wi-Fi, laundry room and adjacent grocery store support longer stays.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast, garage parking and pets carry extra charges; serviced-apartment stays include weekly cleaning.
